Murs and I had such a blast taking these pictures, but getting them was quite the journey. Here are some captures from that day along with some of our wacky stories!
Flatbush Avenue is where I’ll normally find parking, but the entire perimeter of the Brooklyn Public Library, Brooklyn Botanic Gardens, and Brooklyn Museum was coned off for a movie set that day. Looking for parking anywhere is NYC is a nightmare, so we settled on paying for the lot beside the Botanic Gardens. Thankfully, it was pretty affordable ($11 for 3 hours)!
We wanted to visit the Brooklyn Museum, but on the day we were there it was closed – bummer! On the bright side, that gave us extra time to spend at the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens. We got to walk around, enjoy the sights, and get lots done.
As we were taking the last photos of the day, we were attacked by mosquitoes (like, a whole family of them). Imagine trying to hold poses and be all smiley while being eaten alive! It was less than ideal to say the least. Thankfully, we rolled with the punches and still got some awesome snaps.
All in all, wild days make for great stories. Going out with Murs is always a fun time, and if you’re interested in seeing more you can find him @mursalison on Instagram – hope you enjoyed the read!
